We believe that every mom deserves more postpartum support.
Who We Are
Powerful Postpartum Support Group is a free peer to peer group for perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, such as depression in pregnancy, postpartum depression, postpartum OCD, postpartum PTSD, and postpartum anxiety. Our facilitators do not have medical training and this group does not replace medical treatment or therapy. When in doubt talk to your doctor or therapist.
The current group facilitators are Karen Phippen and Dezarae Weyburn (the New Rhythm Doulas) along with Hannah Kidd, (another local business owner), and Gisselle Topham.

When and Where
This group meets at My Family Birth Center on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM (exceptions: June we run the local Climb Out of the Darkness, and for November and December: we combine and do a winter social). We discuss a variety of topics, including postpartum sex and intimacy, creating boundaries, therapy options, and common symptoms. These groups are open to any new or expectant mother that could use additional support. We ask that all group discussions remain private.
Upcoming Events
Our winter moms social will be held Friday, December 6th at 7 PM. The facilitators will be providing a taco bar and we ask that those who can do so bring a dessert to share. Babes in arms are welcome as usual.
